Curator's Note
Before Paris became home, it existed in Robinne Lee's imagination as the music of a language she couldn't yet speak.
Listening back to this conversation, I was struck by how often our deepest pivots begin long before we have the words to explain them. We recognize something first—a voice, a city, an idea—and only years later understand why it never left us.
Children know this instinctively. They recognize what feels true long before they can explain why. Somewhere along the way, many of us learn to distrust that quiet knowing, waiting instead for certainty before we begin.
Perhaps every meaningful crossing asks us to remember it.
